Megaritas! Ole!

If you’ve ever wondered about making the investment in a Margaritaville blender I’d have to say no they are pretty pricey… unless you really like having a lot of fun, then go for it.  My brother generously gifted us our Megaritaville, as it is now known, in the spring of 2022.  We took it for its maiden voyage one weekend that same spring in the city, with the Chambers and Norm and Tracey Shelton as the six of were patiently waiting for ice-out. With a couple of bottles of tequila in the recycling, JC called Madison at 1am to pick them up – she tried to get Tristan to come along and drive the truck home, but she said, “no, they should have planned better!”  WOW!

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 oz tequila
  • 2 oz Triple Sec or Grand Marnier
  • 4 oz or limeade
  • 2 oz premade mixer OR 2 oz fresh lime
  • Lime juice and salt to rim the glasses

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Obviously set the Megaritaville to 3 (why would you ever make fewer than 3).
  2. Put all of the ingredients in the blender.
  3. Let ‘er rip!!!
  4. Once it stops, I recommend adding more crushed ice (the preset amount is not quite enough).
  5. Rim your glasses, first in lime juice and then salt.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
